About the LCSB

The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg.
We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine - in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and their contributing factors. The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. Your role
Within the activities of the LCSB, the Innovation and Partnering team is responding to the high demand on legal advice and support of research and innovation related projects, collaborations, agreements and to provide solutions to legal questions. The successful candidate will work within the LCSB legal office being part of the Innovation and Partnering team and report to its team leader. You will be liaising with other LCSB operations teams, central services at the University of Luxembourg, as well as external collaborators and stakeholders and provide support to the Innovation and Partnering team in its day to day management.
Legal Office Administration
- Handling administrative tasks such as contract signing and filing, maintaining internal electronic database, tracking and organizing reference files
- Regular summary reporting as well as ad hoc reporting from internal databases
- Coordinating internal logistics of the legal team, including coordination with other teams across the LCSB as well as with external parties
- Drafting and organizing internal and external correspondence
- Assisting in gathering and analyzing information and preparing of written reports
- Ad hoc day to day assignments regarding office organization and contract management
Drafting Legal Documents
- Drafting and amending of legal documents such as collaboration agreements, service agreements, and other kind of agreements under supervision of corporate lawyers
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by work experience
- Successfully completed 2/3 years of higher education level study involving training in legal principles
- At least 2 years paralegal work experience ideally in a research-related environment including office and contract management experience
- International experience is an asset
- Open, motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask for coping with the day-to-day activities
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to deal with French legal language. Knowledge in German or Luxembourgish are an asset
