Your role
The Postdoctoral researcher will be working in the Institute of Teaching and Learning, within the Department of Education and Social Work. The person will be part of a dynamic organisational context of a growing, globally connected research university. The postdoctoral researcher will collaborate closely with Michelle Proyer on topics related to inclusion, specifically inclusive education. The ideal candidate holds experience in developing and coordinating research projects, both individually and in (multidisciplinary) teams on national and international level. The candidate is interested in promoting research approaches in an inclusive, participatory, creative and potentially digitally-informed way.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and support of research and administrative tasks in the field of inclusive education
- Self-organised and collaborative national and international research
- Application for and coordination of international third-party funding
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Innovative teaching
- Independent supervision of students and doctoral researchers
- Transfer of relevant research results to various communities and a wider public
- Academic self-administration

Your profile
- PhD in Inclusive education, with a focus on at least one of the below areas:
- Inclusive pedagogy (critical perspectives on UDL)
- Participatory research
- Research ethics
- Comparative, international approaches
- Decolonial approaches
- Digitally informed and/or arts-based approaches
- Community work
- Interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches related to inclusive education
- Interest in educational science issues, strong personal commitment to science at the interface of education and social work and ambition to advance one of the aforementioned subject areas
- Training and experience in qualitative empirical methods/mixed methods research
- Openness to further research in participatory, arts-based and or digitally-informed contexts in the area of inclusive education
- International publications in peer-reviewed journals and / or book publications as well as alternative approaches to research communication
- Experience in project applications and coordination
- Experience in managing data protection and ethics procedures
- Innovative teaching experience and interest to develop these further
- Fluency in English is required; good command of French, Luxembourgish and / or German is considered an asset
