Your role
The Research and Development Specialist will be a member of the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning (https://dgeo.uni.lu), joining the Economic Geography team of Prof. Christian Schulz.
The position contributes to the INTERREG-NWE funded AccessHubs project, which examines the transition to a circular economy through shifting from ownership to access-based models for consumer goods. The consortium brings together NGOs, municipalities, digital platform specialists, and research centers from Ireland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg.
Key responsabilities:
- Conduct desk research, interviews and focus groups in the framework of a comprehensive territorial diagnostics and stakeholder mapping
- Assist in the conception and implementation of a survey on citizen consumer behavior and barriers to access service adoption
- Manage best practices repository from successful use cases
- Attend partner meetings, liaise with stakeholders, attend topically relevant events in case study regions and beyond
- Contribute to the preparation of project reports, presentations and publications

Your profile
- MA degree in human geography/social sciences with work experience in environmental economic geography and sustainability transitions
- Proficiency in qualitative research methods, e.g., semi-structured interviews, focus groups, stakeholder mapping, content analysis
- Fluency in English and preferably French; reading skills in Dutch and German will be considered an advantage
