Your role
- Conducting independent research on advanced communication systems in optical wireless communications
- Developing system-level models, simulations, and performance analysis tools
- Investigating channel impairments, propagation effects, and mitigation techniques
- Designing and evaluating transmission schemes, signal processing algorithms, and communication architectures
- Contributing to scientific publications in high-impact journals and conferences
- Participating in the preparation of research proposals and project reports
- Supervising MSc students and contributing to PhD co-supervision
- Collaborating with academic and industrial partners
- Supporting experimental activities when applicable
- Participating in dissemination activities, workshops, and technical meetings
Your profile
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
- Strong background in communication systems, signal processing, and applied mathematics
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: free-space optics, optical satellite communications, underwater optical communications, Li-Fi, Optical Camera Communications, Vehicular Communications
- Experience in system modeling and simulation of communication systems
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB are required; experience with Python, C/C++, or GPU-based computing is an advantage
- Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Ability to work independently and manage research tasks
