About the SnT...

The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire a Project Manager at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). SnT is carrying out interdisciplinary research and innovations in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners. SnT has developed a broad and effective partnership program, currently composed of 65 industrial and institutional partners located in Luxembourg and in Europe. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Horizon 2020 program, the European Space Agency and the European Defense Agency. For further information please see: www.securityandtrust.lu

The Project Manager will support the Principal Investigator during the implementation of the project ATLAS - Autonomous Systems for Land, Air and Space, supported by FNR's prestigious Industrial Partnership Block Grant (IPBG) scheme, one of Luxembourg's largest programmes for collaborative industrial research.

The aim of this project is to create a long-term, open, and collaborative research programme to support the Luxembourgish economy in developing autonomous intelligent systems. This effort is tightly coupled with the development of space activities through the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the availability of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform required to train advanced AI systems. In parallel, the project will address important questions around cybersecurity of critical autonomous systems to ensure reliability and robustness against attacks. The project will support nine research projects, each run by a PhD student who will be immersed in both the industrial setting of the respective partner and the academic environment of SnT, with a strong collaboration between all parties involved.

In addition, the Project Manager will support large-scale research initiatives linked to the SnT strategic research area of Sustainable Digital Transformation of Industries.
