Your role
We offer a dynamic postdoctoral research position who will join the TruX Research Group headed by Prof. Dr. Tegawendé F. Bissyandé. The successful candidate will work on projects focused on advancing program analysis techniques for mobile apps, with an emphasis on static analysis. The research is twofold: 1) boost dynamic analysis by leveraging insights from static analysis; and 2) improve the effectiveness and output of static analysis tools using AI-driven methods and advanced static analysis techniques. The role includes contributing to cutting-edge research in the mobile ecosystem, actionable tool development, and the supervision of PhD students.
TruX conducts research in software security, software repair, and explainable software to create key practical solutions for developers, allowing them to achieve trustworthiness, efficiency, and transparency. Application areas include FinTech, embedded systems (e.g., mobile), business or entertainment systems, cybersecurity, and more. The successful candidate will
- Conduct advanced research in static analysis for mobile systems
- Develop innovative approaches to enhance static analysis tools using AI techniques and refined static analysis methods
- Collaborate with PhD students, guiding their research and ensuring progress on related topics
- Contribute to national and international research collaborations in program analysis and software engineering
- Prepare project deliverables and disseminate results through high-quality scientific publications
- Present findings at renowned international conferences and workshops
- Support the organization of demonstrations and workshops showcasing developed tools and methodologies
- Assist in drafting research proposals to secure funding for related projects

Your profile
We seek a motivated, independent researcher with strong skills in NLP and a passion for interdisciplinary work.
- The candidate should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Expertise in program analysis, with a strong focus on static analysis
- Familiarity with dynamic analysis and methods to integrate static and dynamic approaches is highly desirable
- Knowledge of AI-driven approaches is a plus
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in program analysis for mobile apps, such as Java or Python
- Proven experience in supervising or mentoring PhD or MSc students
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- A proven publication record in relevant international conferences and journals
- Teamworking skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary research environment
