Your role

• Act as a Financial Business Partner for a dedicated internal user group
• Provide financial analysis, deliver accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information that enhances / support plan and management decision making
• Prepare the budget, the forecasts and report on variances
• Consolidate data, in line with the entity / department strategy and within financial and reporting guidelines
• Understand and adapt to the specific requirements from the diverse University Units / departments
• Ensure financial transactions and reporting quality control, and compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Contribute to month-end / year-end process
• Contribute to maintain strong internal controls by developing, documenting and updating business processes and accounting policies
• Provide ad hoc reporting, requests, and projects
• Co-develop project proposals, including budgets, deadlines and planning, and monitor realization of projects
• Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant Finance practices in line with the University operating model and needs

Your profile

• Master's degree in at least one of the following: Economics, Finance, Accounting or any similar field
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient knowledge of advanced functions in Excel with a strong ability to automate reporting
• Good knowledge of SAP ERP functionalities (CO, FI, BI modules) being an asset
• Ability to analyze and synthetize
• Rigorous, pragmatic and result driven
