Your role
- Act as a Financial Business Partner for a dedicated internal user group
- Provide financial analysis, deliver accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information that enhances / support plan and management decision making
- Prepare the budget, the forecasts and report on variances
- Consolidate data, in line with the entity / department strategy and within financial and reporting guidelines
- Understand and adapt to the specific requirements from the diverse University Units / departments
- Ensure financial transactions and reporting quality control, and compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Contribute to month-end / year-end process
- Contribute to maintain strong internal controls by developing, documenting and updating business processes and accounting policies
- Provide ad hoc reporting, requests, and projects
- Co-develop project proposals, including budgets, deadlines and planning, and monitor realization of projects
- Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant Finance practices in line with the University operating model and needs
Your profile
- Master's degree in at least one of the following: Economics, Finance, Accounting or any similar field
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient knowledge of advanced functions in Excel with a strong ability to automate reporting
- Good knowledge of SAP ERP functionalities (CO, FI, BI modules) being an asset
- Ability to analyze and synthetize
- Rigorous, pragmatic and result driven
