The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.

Your role
Within the department of Life Sciences and Medicine -recently restructured- the team leader role has been created to establish a robust and efficient framework of common operational structures that are transversally managed at the departmental level, to enhance overall performance.
Team management
- Co-ordinate and integrate team activities, resolving both routine and complex issues and ensuring the effective delivery of services
- Ensure an effective balance of work across the team
- Actively participate in selection, recruitment, assessment of team members and ensure retention of talented employees
Daily operations oversight
- Ensure proper alignment of administrative processes with the FSTM and the central administration of the University
- Supervise the day-to-day activities within the department to support its main missions: teaching - research - outreach
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance
Budget management
- Actively participate in the preparation of budget, while monitoring financial plans of the different domains in the department
- Monitor the human resources needs, in line with budget
Procurement and inventory management
- Ensure procurement in line with university policies and in collaboration with the internal stakeholders
- Oversee the department's inventory
Communication and coordination
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between the domains of the department
- Address administrative issues and liaise with other teams within the organization (within the faculty, as well as at central level)
Administration and compliance
- Serve as the primary contact point for functional operations within the department
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulations, and standards
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent by work experience
- At least 8 years of experience in people management, ideally within an international environment
- Strong skills in budgeting, reporting, and strategic organizational management
- Excellent communication skills with proactive and dynamic approach
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in both French and English is required; German language skills are a plus
