About the Team


The Bissen plant was established in 1910 and has grown steadily over the years to become one of Europe's leading producers of galvanised steel wire and wire products.


ArcelorMittal Bissen is part of the WireSolutions Business Unit within the Bars & Rods segment of Long Products Europe.


370 people work at ArcelorMittal Bissen to supply more than 1000 different customers inthe following 3 market segments:


  • Fencing & Agri Business: field fence, welded mesh for residential and security fencing, barbed wire, vineyard wires.
  • Fibers to reinforce concrete in infrastructure projects, flooring, tunneling, buildings and for precasted structures.
  • Industrial Wire for applications like gabions, cable trays, cable armouring, animal cages, greenhouses.


ArcelorMittal Bissen produces yearly more than 100 kt of galvanised steel wire and wire products in its drawing workshops, on its galvanization lines and its finished product workshops consisting of fencing machines, welding machines, plastification Line and respooling equipments.


Job Description


As a finance team, we develop costing & financial analysis tools to help management, monitor and achieve set objectives. We see our team as an open ground for new talents, with a clear focus on creativity, diversity & inclusion.


In order to support the team we are currently looking for a Financial Controller to : 

  • Support the CFO in putting in place a reliable costing and reporting system in the plant
  • Coordinates the management cycles together with CFO (monthly or quarterly forecasts, annual budget, multi-year plan).


Main missions: 


  • Support CFO in costs components identification and breakdown per department
  • Be a key player in the transversal workshop to understand and optimize cost analysis (for all production steps)
  • Implement and lead action plans & process optimization 
  • Organize monthly performance reviews with performance steering, commercial controlling, to understand and improve costs and Ebitda components (turnover, production cost, transportation cost, internal logistic cost, energy, stock ageing…) 
  • Closely monitor inventories : spare parts, consumables, RM and metal to avoid slow moving, in liaison with supply chain, & develop dashboard for communication to stakeholders 
  • Participate to the monthly closing and ensure compliance with IFRS and group policies 
  • Monthly performance analysis per business line
  • Perform periodic reporting and provide qualitative analysis necessary for decision making
  • Support CFO in ad hoc analysis, projects and implementation of new procedures 
  • Support in forecast and budget cycle in liaison with local & central teams


Profile: 


  • Master degree in Finance
  • Interest in industrial and international environment.
  • Very good knowledge in Excel.
  • Good level in French and English is mandatory.
  • Pro-active with team spirit, dynamic, strong personal investment.
  • High potential : business and result oriented, agile, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, good management and planning skills.
  • Open-minded : interested in the analysis and understanding of industrial or commercial matters with impact on financial results.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and French GAAP).
