The registered office of RIGO Trading S.A. is established in the municipality of Niederanven in the EBBC business complex close to the Findel Airport. The company started up only in 2014 and employs currently more than 80 employees.
One purpose of the company is the acquisition by purchase, registration, and transfer by sale or exchange of intellectual and industrial property rights. RIGO Trading S.A. takes care of the procurement and in particular the purchase of CAPEXs, raw materials, packaging and print materials, for the activities of the companies of its group and the distribution of goods produced on the Luxembourg market and to duty free and retail customers worldwide. The global Travel Retail Management and as well the associated Marketing and Key Account Management have been successfully established in RIGO Trading S.A. during the course of the years 2015 and 2016. Since 2017 the Global Export / Developing Countries Management (for more than 40 countries) and Sales and Marketing activities have been consolidated in Luxembourg as well.

We are looking for a Specialist Global Procurement (synonymous with operational purchasing/buying) as soon as possible. You will support our raw material sourcing activities, in particular by supporting the execution of ESG initiatives in our supplier network.
Main responsibilities:
In your role as a Specialist Global Procurement, you will perform the typical tasks of an operational buyer on a day-to-day basis, including:
- You negotiate with our suppliers, conclude contracts and price agreements, and track these to secure internal requirements on time, in the desired quality, and at the optimum price.
- In direct exchange with internal interfaces, you carry out tenders and offer comparisons to further optimize our supplier portfolio and purchasing strategies.
- Within SAP, you process and monitor purchase orders, and provide commercial support for claims and risk management.
- Administration is part of the job: you keep records of interactions with suppliers, handle supplier accounts and complaints, and file documents.
Additional responsibilities in the area of Environmental Social Governance (ESG):
- In close collaboration with our ESG Manager and Category Buying Managers, you guarantee that regulatory frameworks in sourcing and procurement practices within our supplier base are met.
- When selecting suppliers, you review the contractual clauses in the Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that suppliers comply with human rights and environmental requirements.
- Through active supplier management, you are in regular contact with our suppliers, driving and ensuring that requested ESG data is provided in a timely and accurate manner. This may involve training and auditing suppliers.
- Using IT-based ESG rating platforms (e.g. EcoVadis), you are responsible for collecting and con-solidating ESG data from suppliers.
Required profile:
- Completed university degree in economics, sustainability management, or similar field of study
- Alternatively: completed apprenticeship/training as an Industrial Clerk with at least 2-3 years of professional experience in an international purchasing department
- 1-2 years of working experience in responsible sourcing or ESG in procurement is preferred
- Strong interest in the topic of ESG with a focus on supply chain, deforestation, carbon footprint, and animal welfare
- A hands-on mentality combined with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, proactive, structured and quality-driven
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Intercultural competence, respecting and appreciating colleagues from different cultural backgrounds and hierarchical levels
- Solid knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel), SAP, or IT-based ESG rating platforms experience is considered an advantage
- Languages: Fluency in English and good knowledge of another foreign language (German is a strong advantage)
