Your next challenge:
- Lead the Bank's cost management framework, ensuring effective financial steering of operating expenses, investment spending, and strategic initiatives across all business units.
- Act as a trusted Finance partner to Senior Management and business leaders by providing insightful analysis, challenging spending decisions, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic objectives.
- Support Executive Management, the CFO and senior governance bodies in evaluating strategic projects, transformation initiatives, investments and acquisitions through robust financial analysis and business case assessments.
- Develop a strong cost-conscious culture across the organization while ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support growth, regulatory requirements, operational resilience and strategic ambitions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for cost controlling, planning, analysis and management reporting.
- Own and continuously enhance the Bank's cost management framework, policies and governance.
- Lead the budget and forecasting processes for operating expenses and investment spending.
- Monitor cost performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Lead the evolution of the Bank's cost allocation framework, ensuring transparent, accurate and business-relevant allocation of costs across customers, products, channels and business units to support profitability analysis, pricing decisions and strategic resource allocation.
- Act as primary Finance partner for senior executives, department heads and business leaders regarding cost management matters.
- Organize and lead periodic cost review meetings with ExCo members and senior management.
- Challenge business assumptions, investment requests and resource allocation decisions through a constructive and data-driven approach.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, COO, Risk, HR, CEO Office and Business Lines to ensure alignment on financial priorities.
- Support Management in evaluating strategic projects and transformation initiatives.
- Perform financial assessments of acquisitions, partnerships and strategic opportunities.
- Evaluate expected benefits, costs, risks and return on investment of major initiatives.
- Deliver timely, accurate and insightful management reporting on costs and investment performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and simulations on business initiatives, cost drivers and strategic options.
- Drive improvements in planning methodologies, management reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Promote automation and digitalization of cost management processes.
- Contribute to the evolution of Finance tools, data governance and performance management frameworks.
- Lead, coach and develop the Cost Management team.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Ensure appropriate succession planning, talent development and capability building within the team.
Your skills:
- Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field. CFA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualifications considered an advantage.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Cost Management, Corporate Finance, Strategy or related fields within financial services.
- Minimum 5 years in leadership positions managing teams and engaging directly with executive management.
- Fluency in French and English. Luxembourgish and/or German considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of banking products, business models, profitability drivers, financial planning processes and performance management. Knowledge of banking regulatory environment and capital considerations is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting and data visualization tools. Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems, Power BI, Microstrategy, or similar tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
