Data scientist (m/f)
Duties & Responsabilities
Pricing is the motor, driving any industry. Our team specializes in delivering Machine Learning based pricing solutions to various businesses within the ArcelorMittal Europe Long products. As a part of our team you will get a chance to work with the latest technologies in the domain of ML and data science in general.
The main responsibilities will include designing and delivering end-to-end production ready pricing solutions. This involves interaction with marketing and sales team, to elicit feedback and for improving the models through a better domain knowledge. Interacting with internal clients and identifying areas where data science and statistical analysis can bring value in existing business is a key aspect of the job.
Main deliverables are the following:
Technical:
- Contribute in the design of new algorithms for pricing in various business domains.
- Implementation of new ideas and algorithms
- Iterate and improve the existing pricing models
Non-Technical:
- Interact with business to understand their needs and translate them in technical requirements
- Deliver Proof of Concepts for new business domains
Education:
Master or equivalent through experience in computer science, data science, business engineering or similar field.
Skills & Specifications:
- Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Sound knowledge of GIT, Azure and Docker.
- Basic DevOps knowledge, shell scripting knowledge.
- Management / organizational skills. Experience & or interpersonal skills demonstrating a possibility to evolve to a leadership functions in project mode.
- Strong analytical skills in data cleaning and visualization.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, technically and in a business-understandable way.
Work experience requirements:
Minimum 1 year of practical experience in the field of data science, knowledge of ML algorithms.
Languages:
English, French, (German desirable)
