Your role
The job holder will manage a team of Study Programme Administrators within the Faculty Administration of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine.
Management of the team:
- Set work standards, interpreting functional objectives for the team to ensure goals are met
- Monitor the effective performance of staff in delivering against these
- Co-ordinate and integrate team activities, resolving both routine and complex issues and ensuring the effective delivery
- Contribute to long-term service and resources planning
- Ensure an effective balance of work across the team
- Motivate and coach team through the identification of training and development needs to equip them to deliver effective and responsive services
- Actively involved in selection, recruitment, assessment of team members and ensure retention of talented employees
Reporting, communication and advisory :
- Ensure ad hoc and periodic reporting to Head of Faculty Administration
- Make presentations where required to senior colleagues and teams
- Share best practice and achievements to other team members
- Design and implement policies and procedure for the area of expertise
- Implement new processes, standards within the team
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by work experience
- +6 years of relevant working experience, significant expertise as a professional with management experience
- Written and verbal communication skills in French as well as English are mandatory. German is an asset
