IT Application Support Specialist (m/f/x)

Luxcargo Handling, based at Luxembourg Airport, is a handling company specializing in air freight. Founded in 2023, the company took over the Cargo Handling branch of Luxair and employs 1000 people in various roles.

Luxcargo Handling S.A. is a subsidiary of the Cargolux group, fully owned by Cargolux Airlines International S.A.

For our LCH IT department within LCH, we are looking for an:

IT Application Support Specialist (m/f/x)

Missions:

• Manage the lifecycle of applications within a defined portfolio, including roadmap, licensing, integration into existing landscape, support and upgrade
• Diagnose and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Document application processes and support procedures.
• Assist in the deployment of new applications and updates.
• Debug and troubleshoot application problems effectively.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Actively participate, in strong collaboration with the different IT teams and vendors, to define the necessary environments to be able to test and implement new releases.
• Participate in continuous improvement and write appropriate guidelines where required
• Provide 24/7 support for critical application issues, together with support team

 Profile:

• Be holder of a bachelor’s degree “BAC+3” in Information Technology or equivalent
• combination of education and experience in a similar position
• Proven experience in application support or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for database querying and troubleshooting.
• Show a good sense of priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Show structured approach in analysis and documentation
• Be accurate, detail oriented and reliable
• Be familiar with standard office applications
• Show excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)
• Have good presentation and analytical skills
