In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing statistical processes, metadata management, and data exchange within the European Statistical System.
Mission:
- Analysis, planning reports and minutes of meetings with Domain Managers
- Draft mappings, templates, guidelines to be proposed to Domain Managers
- New statistical flow implemented in ESS MH
- New collection of metadata files and/or quality reports in ESS MH
- Progress reports giving an overview of implementation status for concerned domains
- Final report containing the result of the analysis at the end of a project also including "lessons learned" for future projects
- Report on remaining tasks, by domain, to complete the implementation of all statistical processes by a determined deadline
- Deliver test results in structured reports
- Provide functional descriptions of business needs to be used as input for future maintenance work
- Reports of support given during the implementation of a new ESS MH release
- Communications and introduction of new ESS MH releases to ESS MH users
Your profile:
- Ability to analyse and translate user requirements into functional descriptions efficiently and fast
- Knowledge of issues reporting tools, like Atlassian JIRA
- Expertise in the use of the ESS-Metadata Handler and familiarity with the underlying standard (SIMS,
- ESMS, ESQRS) would be an asset
- Specific knowledge / experience in the metadata exchange in Eurostat and in the European Statistical System would be an asset
- Specific knowledge / experience in the SDMX standard for data and metadata exchange would be an
- asset
- Fluency in English
- At least 2 years of specific expertise in the usage of XML files and in the creation / management of XSDs
