Your role

 

As a Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing risk-related activities within our organization, under both Manco Risk and L2 Investment Risk frameworks. You collaborate with the Head of Manco Risk and other stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. You demonstrate a solid background in risk management, and a deep understanding of the asset management industry.

 

  • Support the Head of ManCo Risk in ensuring that risks are identified and appropriately managed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies, procedures, and methodologies to effectively identify, assess, and manage risks within the Manco.
  • Monitor and evaluate risks associated with investment strategies, financial products, and operational processes, providing timely and accurate risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist in stress testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess the impact of adverse events on the organization's risk profile.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers, compliance officers, legal advisors, and operations teams, to ensure risk considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and best practices, and assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on emerging risk trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential impacts on the organization's risk profile and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Support the preparation of risk reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, and regulatory bodies, highlighting key risk exposures, trends, and recommended risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, auditors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate risk-related audits, examinations, and inspections.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging technology and automation where applicable.

 

Your profile

 

Education:

  • Master degree in finance or business administration.

 

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position and in the asset management industry.

 

Technical skills:

  • Proven experience in risk management within the asset management industry, preferably within a Manco or fund management company.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
  • Familiarity with investment strategies, financial instruments, and relevant risk metrics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements (e.g., AIFMD, UCITS, FINMA regulations, SEC regulations …)
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

 

Soft skills:

  • Discipline and structured mind-set.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key risk drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive.

 

Langage skills:

  • Fluent in French and English.
