ADWAÏSEO – IT LEAD / IT ARCHITECT

To strengthen its “IT Infrastructure” department, adwäisEO SA is looking for a talented IT Architect / IT Lead for the activities related to production, archiving and dissemination of Earth Observation Data.

She/he will work closely with the CTO and contribute to the maintenance and development of the IT infrastructure both of the company and of specific project related ones.

She/he will ill be responsible for managing and coordinating the team in charge of the company's IT infrastructure. She/he will oversee technical operations, ensure systems are running smoothly, and guarantee the availability, security, and evolution of the infrastructure in line with the company’s needs. She/he will also play a key role in developing the skills of her/his team.

Must Have Requirements

Profile:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or similar;

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar position; 5+ years of experience with complex infrastructures;

• Personal Qualities: Leadership, attention to detail, autonomy, strong team spirit, analytical mindset, and ability to manage stress

• Fluent in English;

• Valid work permit for EU

• Strong experience in IT team management.

• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills and ability to lead effective meetings.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and proactivity

Technical Skills:

• Good command of infrastructure and networking virtualization, VMware based;

• Good Command of Linux Environment;

• Good command of Active Directory;

• Good command of networking;

• Good command of infrastructure backup tools;

• Good command of monitoring tools;

• Command of Firewalling;

• Command of principles of security;

• Experience of administration of Kubernetes cluster;

Main Responsibilities:

• Team Management:

− Lead, motivate, and develop a team of IT engineers and technicians.

− Plan tasks and distribute responsibilities within the team.

− Conduct regular performance reviews and encourage skill development.

− Foster communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.

• IT Infrastructure Management:

− Oversee the administration and maintenance of servers, networks, storage systems, and databases.

− Ensure the security and compliance of the IT infrastructure (firewalls, VPN, data protection).

− Guarantee the availability and reliability of systems and networks (incident management, updates).

− Propose and implement improvements and optimizations to the infrastructure according to the company’s strategic needs.

• Technical Operations:

− Participate in deployment, migration, and system upgrade projects.

− Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide level 3 support when necessary.

− Document processes, configurations, and technical interventions.

• Project Planning and Management:

− Coordinate projects related to infrastructure development (virtualization, cloud, system modernization).

− Contribute to defining the strategic direction of the IT department.
