Internship on text summarization using NLP models
ArcelorMittal is looking for an intern for the data science CMO team to work on the text mining project for the duration of 6 months. The data science CMO team consists of data scientists, analysts and developers from diverse backgrounds. The team is focused on pricing-related projects and is reinforcing its strength in the area of NLP. This internship position is based in ArcelorMittal’s headquarters in Luxembourg.
The main objective of the internship is to summarize the visit reports using NLP models. This internship will start with the feasibility study on the state of art text summarization models, followed by the implementation. Additionally, the intern will work on improving the existing quality defect detection and entity recognition algorithms. During this assignment, the intern will work under the supervision of a senior data scientist with support from other data scientists and analysts from the team.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of text summarization model
- Quality defect detection using vector embeddings
- Implementation of relationship between entities and quality defects
- Dashboard development to visualize the results
Mandatory skills:
- English
- Strong statistical background
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills
- Proficiency in programming in python
- Experience in ML platforms, frameworks and libraries
Good to have:
- Understanding and experience with NLP techniques for texts like sentiment analysis, NER, summarization, topic modeling etc.
- Data visualization with Tableau
- Creative thinking in proposing solutions to business problems
