About Goodyear

We’re dedicated to producing, innovating, and servicing the best tires in the world. For over 125 years, Goodyear has led the way in developing smart solutions that shape the future of mobility. Today, we’re one global team united by bold thinking, relentless drive, and a passion to exceed expectations. If you’re ready to embrace change and make an impact in your career, let’s go.

Why This Role Matters

At Goodyear, your engineering expertise drives the performance of tires that keep the world moving safely and sustainably. As part of our Product Performance Insight (PPI) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we test, measure, and improve tire performance understanding. Your insights will guide our internal and regulatory testing processes, influence product innovation, and empower our teams to deliver excellence. This is your chance to make tangible impact on cutting-edge tire technologies while collaborating across cultures and disciplines.

What You’ll Do

  • Join the Operations Engineering team responsible for the test engineering in our APM*L (physical lab), lab tire testing and road tire testing facilities. Your versality will help you to support those 3 entities.
  • As a primary mission, provide engineering support for physical sample testing (compound & reinforcement) and develop global testing methods.
  • As a secondary focus, provide engineering support for internal and regulatory tire testing on prototypes and production tires.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and partners to interpret test results and navigate non-standard testing scenarios.
  • Plan technical approaches, resources, schedules, and new equipment for sample and tire testing initiatives.
  • Design and manage test monitoring processes to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Contribute to fundamental projects, supporting the development of new testing capabilities and experimental methods.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver actionable product performance insights.

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Physics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • Fluency in English (German and/or French considered an asset).
  • Experience in laboratory testing; background in tire design, testing, manufacturing, or machine design is a plus.
  • Strong engineering and analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical and data-driven approaches.
  • Solid understanding of quality standards and regulatory processes is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver test operations with excellence.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently in multicultural teams, remain resilient under pressure, and demonstrate a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Even if you don’t meet every listed qualification, we encourage you to apply.
