The University of Luxembourg is seeking to appoint within its Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance a Study Programme Administrator.

Your Role...

The jobholder will be required to offer administrative support to the faculty's teaching programme and will under these circumstances work closely with the team of study programme administrators, the Study Director and central services of the University. The recruit shall perform highly responsible and professional services by taking care of administrative and organisational activities.

  • Collaborate with the directors who are in charge for the study programme, teaching modules, exam organisation and planning
  • Follow-up and day-to-day administrative assistance for several teaching programmes: planning, system update which are required for the programme courses and related events
  • Database Administration: course, grades, ECTS
  • Support administrative tasks for adjunct teachers (e.g. check expenses)
  • Provide administrative support for non-academic events related to the study programme
  • Prepare and contribute to internal reporting for the entity
  • Inform and advice students and teachers on administrative and organisational matters (welcome desks by phone, via email and the on-line platform Moodle)
  • Maintain accounting records of programme courses within the university's accounting guidelines
  • Assist the study director with promoting the teaching programmes (meetings, open days, student fairs)
  • Ad hoc support for other study programme administrators (e.g. covering in case of absence etc.)

Qualifications...

  • Bachelor/Secretarial degree and/or first experience in a comparable role
  • Very good knowledge in English and French, Luxembourgish and/or German would be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and prioritizing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level competency of standard IT tools
  • Proactive, reliable, open mindedness and diplomatic with the ability to work in a fast-paced international academic environment
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural and multilingual environment

The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance offers four Bachelor programmes, fourteen Master programmes, as well as several continuing education courses. It also includes the Doctoral School in Law and the Doctoral School in Economics and Finance. Around 1,600 students from 97 different nationalities are enrolled at the Faculty. Academic staff from different nationalities teach at the Faculty, supported by practitioners from the field, visiting scholars and guest professors. Rooted in Luxembourg but with a European and international outlook, the Faculty counts three departments:

  • Department of Law
  • Department of Economics and Management
  • Department of Finance
