For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a :
Transaction Officer (M/F)
The incumbent(s) report to and work under the supervision of senior members of the Microfinance, Alternative Lenders and Fintech Division.
Purpose:
You will join the Investment Office and assume responsibilities for transaction origination, appraisal, analysis, negotiation and execution of transactions covering typically diversified portfolios of loans. Your work will relate to the appraisal of transactions from origination to signature. The transactions will often be undertaken in the context of a thematic focus supporting e.g. microfinance, social entrepreneurship or the cultural sector, etc.
Responsibilities:
At a level commensurate with your experience and according to your area of expertise and interest, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform analyses of new transactions, covering qualitative and quantitative aspects, both in terms of credit risk assessment (incl. expected and unexpected loss, risk/return assessment as applicable) and in terms of policy objectives, value added and other relevant requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders (legal, risk management, compliance etc.) in the context of new transactions.
- Draft transaction requests for approval & due diligence reports, aiming at signing commitments with existing and new counterparties.
- Contribute to the negotiation of guarantee transactions (incl. legal documentation).
- Contribute to manage client relationships with financial institutions to ensure transactions meet agreed objectives and allow for timely follow-on transactions.
- Promote the guarantee facilities, participate in internal/external events and prepare relevant promotional presentations and other materials as and when required.
- Contribute to product and mandate development in cooperation with other teams.
- Contribute to gathering and analysing various data requirements specific to the allocated thematic focus, preparing various presentations and/or reports as needed.
PROFIL
Qualifications:
- At least three (3) years relevant professional experience in either banking sector or financial consulting, with exposure to client facing activities.
- Knowledge of standard computer tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written, with good drafting skills. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently under given objectives and organize own work effectively even under time pressure.
- Very good communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to summarize and present information to non-specialists.
- Good project management skills.
- Good inter-personal skills, team spirit and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
