Your mission :

We are currently looking for a Senior Microsoft Fabric Architect to support the design and validation of a large-scale enterprise data platform initiative.
The consultant will work closely with the internal architecture team and play a key role in ensuring that the platform is designed according to enterprise-grade scalability, governance, security, and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise and support the design of the Microsoft Fabric platform architecture.
• Challenge and validate technical decisions and implementation approaches.
• Guide the internal architect and stakeholders on best practices related to:
    o scalability,
    o governance,
    o security,
    o performance,
    o maintainability.
• Help define the platform capabilities and services required by business users.
• Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the definition of enterprise data engineering standards and operating models.
• Ensure alignment between technical implementation and business expectations.

Your profile :

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven experience in large-scale enterprise data engineering projects.
• Strong expertise in:
    o Azure data ecosystem,
    o Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures,
    o Power BI,
    o Synapse / Fabric services,
    o data governance and enterprise data platforms.
• Ability to operate both at architecture and technical implementation level.
• Experience advising stakeholders and validating architecture decisions in complex environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:
• Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
• Knowledge of modern data platform governance models.
• Experience with large user adoption and multi-team delivery environments.

Additional Information:
• EU citizenship (mandatory).
• Estimated assignment duration : 6–9 months
• Mainly remote setup with some onsite presence when required at the European Commission’s premise in Luxembourg
