For our technical sales team we are looking for a candidate to assume the following role
Technical Project Engineer / Technical Manager / Technical System Manager (m/f/d)
Based in Luxembourg, you will integrate and reinforce into our “Iron Production Plant & Layout” department, which is part of the Center of Competence Iron / Metallurgy.
You will be involved in most of our company's industrial projects, interacting with customers and sub-contractors all over the world. You will work in a project-orientated engineering team together with plant engineers and designers from various engineering disciplines and entities worldwide.
In the role of a Technical Manager or Technical System Manager, you will coordinate the engineering tasks for a defined plant section or sub-unit. However, it also allows you to work as a creative and open-minded engineer and give you the possibility to drive our innovative products forward.
As a globally active plant engineering company for large size projects and technology provider in the ironmaking industry, we offer the possibility to work actively on CO2 reduction and green iron making.
Your main tasks:
Technical project follow-up; coordination and guidance of the internal design & engineering teams.
Supervision, coordination and control of sub-contractors carrying out engineering works for the projects.
Development of technical specifications for customers and/or sub-contractors
Support in the preparation of technical offers, preparation of tender layouts & deliverables.
Development of bills of quantities for offers
Elaboration of lists of deliverables for projects and their follow-up.
Follow-up / Pursuing of R&D projects
Participation in design review meetings.
Developing design-to-cost engineering
What do we expect?
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of ironmaking industry.
Knowledge in blast furnace design & technology.
Degree in mechanical or civil engineering or in other comparable technical fields
Strong command in AutoCAD Mechanical and knowledge in 3D design software. (e.g. CREO or AVEVA)
Skills in 3D design review software (i.e. NavisWorks)
Knowledge in applicable European & International Standards for fabrication and construction are considered as an advantage
International mindset and willingness to travel worldwide
Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills combined with a structured way of working.
Ability to work in/together with engineering teams of different fields and disciplines, as well as with sub-contractors.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage numerous assignment simultaneously.
Fluent in English; German and/or French language skills is considered as an advantage.
