Job Purpose
In collaboration with the Regional Logistics Manager, coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process in a region.
This involves interfacing with the customer's logistics, the factory, the 3PL warehouse, the inter-site, the TMS partner and the carriers.
Your responsibilities will be
- To coordinate and manage Transport operations to achieve on time delivery at best value cost.
- To interact with Customer Logistics, TMS Partner, McBride Warehouses, Hauliers and Warehouse 3PL’s to plan activity and resolve exceptions.
- Regional Logistics reporting for the Group Function, assembling information to share across the Divisions and at customer level.
- Dissect data to fully understand and report on key drivers impacting on Logistics cost and service.
- Key data source for IBP Process. Build information pack on key elements of business inputs (demand / product / supply / delivery) and produce information that will enable business decisions.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Finance teams & TMS (Transport / Warehouse) to ensure all data / information is accurate, consistent, and reconciled.
- Power user of TMS / reporting overall performance of Group / Divisions. Creating of Group / Divisional Dashboards on performance adding commentary on opportunities and risks.
- Key interface with the TMS provider to share forecasting information and feeding back challenges to Customer Services / Logistics Support Teams.
Skills and education we are looking for
- Ideally a Supply Chain / Logistics qualification to degree level.
- Transport planning and execution experience
- Strong analytical background to understand the detail whilst able to focus on the overall picture.
- Ability to handle large quantities of data from multiple sources and the evolution in these data sets.
- Good technical skills (SAP and excel)
- Fluent in English, able to communicate or willing to learn German, Polish/French would be an asset.
