For our department Compliance within General Services, we are looking for a (an):
Compliance & Deputy Data Protection Officer
Main duties:
1/ Compliance side
- Set up a compliance framework covering anti-corruption, conflict of interest, ESG, whistleblowing, Embargo, competition law etc.;
- Implement policies and procedures to mitigate exposure and enhance compliance activities;
- Monitor compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of the existing controls, policies and procedures;
- Give advice, support and trainings on compliance matters and policies;
- Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders (such as Internal Audit, Risk Manager and Legal department) to mitigate compliance risks.
2/ Data protection side
- Support the data protection office with its daily activities:
- Provide legal advice and recommendations on a large variety of data protection topics;
- Back-up to the DPO in case of leave;
- Review Data Processing Agreement and SCCs;
- Support for handling data subjects' requests;
- Updating the Record of Processing Activities;
- Ensure and monitor internal compliancy;
- Implement appropriate policies and procedures;
- Prepare and provide internal trainings;
Required profile:
Minimum required criteria
- Master degree in law mandatory (preferably from Luxembourg, France, Belgium or Germany)
- Knowledge in European compliance regulation and knowledge of GDPR and guidelines from EDPB and CNPD; or
- 2-5 years of experience as compliance officer with experience related to privacy and data protection;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal teams and external regulatory bodies;
- Dynamic team player and have the capacity to work autonomously;
- Ability to identify issues and provide pragmatic risk mitigation solution;
- Fluency in English and French.
The ideal candidate
Knowledge of Luxemburgish, German or any other language is considered as asset.
