Sustainable Finance Officer

Our client, an Investment Fund company based in Luxembourg, is looking for its future Sustainable Finance Officer for their Thematics and Advisory Division/Sustainable Finance Unit.

This will be a temporary contract of 2 months. Please note that this assignment may be extended, in accordance with Luxembourgish law, for a maximum duration of 1 year.

Your responsabilities :

• Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable finance initiatives, with a particular focus on climate-related objectives.
• Support the deployment and continuous improvement of existing climate and sustainability-focused financial products.
• Participate in the development of new financial solutions and instruments designed to support environmental and climate objectives.
• Help integrate sustainability and climate strategies across different business lines, ensuring their effective implementation and consistent application.
• Analyse specific sectors and emerging themes such as clean technologies, climate adaptation, critical raw materials and the circular economy.
• Provide internal guidance on sustainability eligibility requirements, internal frameworks and applicable European regulations.
• Contribute to the interpretation and implementation of European sustainable finance legislation and regulatory developments.
• Support the harmonisation of climate-related criteria and sustainable finance frameworks across different financial products and activities.
• Prepare analytical documents, internal briefings and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant institutional, regulatory and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, communication and follow-up of sustainable finance initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments in sustainable finance and assess their potential operational implications.

Your profile :

• At least 3 years of recent and relevant professional experience in sustainable finance, climate policy, ESG, financial product development or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the European sustainable finance regulatory framework and its practical implications for financial activities.
• Previous experience contributing to the design, structuring or implementation of green or sustainable financial products.
• Ability to analyse complex regulatory and business information and translate it into clear, practical guidance.
• Experience preparing analytical reports, internal position papers, briefings or executive summaries.
• Good understanding of financial products and their application in a sustainable finance context.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional European languages would be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to prepare professional presentations and analyse data.
• Ability to manage large volumes of information, identify key insights and communicate them clearly and concisely.
• Proactive and autonomous approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Package :

• Annual salary: paid over 12 months
• Leave: 26 days of annual leave + up to 17 public holidays
