Strategic Grid Planner (m/f/n)


Your tasks 


  • You represent and defend the interest of Creos in several European organizations (Entso-E, EU DSO Entity, Eurelectric, etc.), ensure data reporting for European power system planning and actively contribute to several international workgroups related to the development of electricity infrastructure and markets in Luxembourg and Europe
  • You will liaise with ministries and regulators on matters of international and regional cooperation
  • You collaborate with other teams to ensure grid planning aligns with Creos’ strategic goals
  • You lead initiatives to improve grid planning and modelling processes, including digital transformation projects
  • You work with a team to ensure compliance with the Luxembourgish "Electricity Law" by collaborating on the biennial elaboration of a Scenario Report and Network Development Plans
  • You participate in the creation, documentation and updating of load and generation forecasts (Scenario Report) for the Creos grids based on national decarbonization goals from the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP)
  • You participate in the publication and public consultation of the Network Development Plans. These plans highlight the needs for grid reinforcements, expansions and flexibility, based on forecasts from the Scenario Report, and should explain clearly the investment needs and timelines
  • You maintain the grid calculation model in DIgSILENT PowerFactory (our power system analysis tool) and perform power flow calculations, particularly regarding regional connections to TSOs in neighbouring countries


Your profile

 

  • You possess a master’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of electrical energy networks, the energy market and its regulations is a considerable advantage
  • You exhibit a high level of engagement and adaptability, with a proven track record in effectively managing change
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • You are results-driven, with a clear focus on achieving objectives while displaying strong leadership capabilities
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, French or German
  • You are willing to travel abroad on business trips
