We are recruiting for a leading International Banking Institution headquartered in a major financial market in Latin America. This institution has established a strong strategic presence in Luxembourg to manage its European and cross-border operations, particularly in Private Banking and Corporate Banking Services.
Joining this entity means becoming part of a stable global financial group while focusing entirely on managing and applying Luxembourg and European financial regulations (CSSF). You will integrate a collaborative and experienced 2nd Line of Defense team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and compliance of the European branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Program Management: Directly assist the CCO in identifying, evaluating, and covering Compliance risks related to current and future bank activities.
- Control Execution: Execute the daily checks and controls defined in the Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP), ensuring diligence and traceability of processes.
- Client Files and Regulation: Ensure the completeness and adequate documentation of client files, particularly regarding AML/KYC, MiFID, FATCA, and CRS
- Continuous Improvement: Document control findings, identify deficiencies, and collaborate in implementing corrective measures to strengthen internal procedures.
- Guidance and Internal Advice: Assist in establishing and disseminating written guidelines and procedures to staff. Provide clarification to staff on applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Centralize all information related to regulatory breaches, conflicts of interest, and customer complaints, preparing regular reports for the CCO.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: You have concrete experience (ideally 3+ years) in a Compliance and/or AML/CFT role within the financial sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of key regulatory requirements (AML/CFT, MiFID II, FATCA/CRS) and internal control programs.
- Education: Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Banking Law, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, proactive, attentive to detail, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; other languages (e.g., French) are considered a significant asset.
