The Head of Controlling is responsible for leading the firm’s Controlling function (4 FTE), ensuring high-quality financial reporting, performance monitoring, and business partnering across all Business Units (including foreign operations).
The role acts as a key strategic advisor to the CFO and senior leadership, driving financial performance, improving profitability, and supporting decision-making through robust financial analysis and insights.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure day-to-day oversight of the Controlling team’s activities, including review of analyses, validation of outputs, prioritisation of workload, and alignment with Finance deadlines and business expectations.
Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of monthly financial reporting to Management and Partners, including insightful analysis and actionable recommendations of revenues, margins, performance metrics and overhead costs.
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Business Units and Business Services.
Perform ad hoc financial analyses (profitability, client/matter performance, cost drivers, or strategic initiatives) to support management decision-making and respond to evolving business needs.
Lead continuous improvement of controlling systems & processes, including integration of data sources, automation of reporting processes, and enhancement of BI tools to deliver efficient, reliable, and scalable financial insights.
Your profile:
Master’s degree in Audit, Finance, Economics or equivalent
You have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the area of finance (controlling, audit, finance), including experience in a leadership role
You have a creative approach in the field of Finance and you are comfortable with data automation and structuring.
You demonstrate an excellent understanding of data flows within multi-core systems environments – including ERP – and an excellent command in Excel (including data modelling). Good knowledge of Power BI (DAX) and/or SQL is considered as a strong advantage.
You have a strong can-do mentality and drive to accomplish tasks in an environment with multiple stakeholders & priorities
You demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French
