Your Day-to-Day:


• Support periodic financial closing activities by collecting and analysing financial data, preparing accounting entries, performing reconciliations and carrying out key financial controls

• Identify, investigate and resolve accounting or reporting issues while contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting procedures and documentation

• Contribute to the preparation, review and coordination of annual, semi-annual and periodic financial statements and reporting packages

• Prepare supporting schedules, disclosure notes, analytical reviews and other financial reporting deliverables in accordance with applicable accounting standards and frameworks

• Respond to queries and information requests from internal stakeholders, auditors and other relevant external counterparts

• Prepare management reports, regulatory reporting, ad-hoc financial analyses and financial presentations when required

• Support the preparation and review of standardised reporting packages for consolidation, oversight and reporting purposes

• Maintain and update financial reporting procedures, methodologies, working papers and related documentation

• Support the implementation of new products, programmes, initiatives and reporting requirements, including the preparation of financial statement templates and pro-forma reporting

• Analyse transactions, financial instruments and complex financial products to determine the appropriate accounting treatment and reporting requirements

• Assist with the interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards, policies and reporting requirements, and assess their impact on financial reporting

• Contribute to process optimisation, automation and digitalisation initiatives designed to improve the efficiency, quality and consistency of financial activities

• Support the maintenance and enhancement of financial controls and governance processes

• Extract, transform and analyse financial data using reporting and business intelligence tools such as Excel, Business Objects, Cognos, Power BI or equivalent technologies

• Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of reporting solutions, automated controls and data quality monitoring processes

• Support financial data governance and initiatives aimed at improving reporting processes and operational efficiency

• Ensure accurate documentation, knowledge transfer and handover of working files, methodologies and lessons learned when completing assignments


Your Profile:


• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting and financial reporting

• Strong practical knowledge of IFRS and/or other applicable accounting frameworks

• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, financial reporting and period-end closing activities

• Strong understanding of accounting reconciliations, financial controls and accounting procedures

• Experience analysing financial transactions, instruments, products or business events and determining the appropriate accounting treatment

• Previous exposure to investment funds, guarantees, equity and debt instruments is an asset

• Experience with reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel, Business Objects, Cognos, Power BI or equivalent technologies

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Accounting and/or Cognos Disclosure Management is considered an advantage

• Experience contributing to financial process improvement, automation, digitalisation and data governance initiatives

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex accounting and reporting matters

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality financial deliverables within tight deadlines

• Ability to communicate clearly, escalate issues when necessary and collaborate with multiple stakeholders

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to adapt to change and support the implementation of new mandates, products, processes and reporting requirements
