Senior Accountant – Small Family Office, Liberty and Autonomy

In the context of our collaboration with a small Family Office in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a (Senior) Accountant with a few years of experience. If you are looking for a Family Office where you will be given a lot of autonomy and liberty to organize your work and day, while benefiting from a 360° position, this opportunity will be great for you.

This Family Office of less than 5 people invests in a variety of segments, and is led by an UHNWI who is also very close to the team. This structure feels it is important to give each member autonomy and liberty in their function, which is why there is no micromanagement and the communication among members is fluid. You will work with one other person in the Luxembourg office, although the objective is to grow to a team of 5, and another recruitment is simultaneously ongoing as well.

Your Responsibilities | Fiduciary – PFS – Luxembourg – Accountant - Accounting

• You take on the A to Z bookkeeping of Luxembourgish Holding companies, that are held by the family office.
• You ensure the preparation of the financial statements as well as that corporate tax returns are filed in time.
• As the company is growing its portfolio, in time you might also take on the accounting of operational companies which will allow you to be exposed to a wide variety of structures.
• As the team in Luxembourg is small, they are looking for a versatile profile : As a result, you are proactive and may participate in other matters such as the set-up of bookkeeping procedures and processes, office management matters and so on.
• You will be given the chance, in time, to also be exposed to other financial subjects and tasks, such as valuations.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Fiduciary – PFS – Luxembourg – Accountant - Accounting

• You have at least 4 years of experience as an accountant in an investment firm, PFS or fiduciary in Luxembourg. You are experienced with managing Holding companies and very autonomous in your daily accounting tasks.
• You are fluent in English. French and/or Dutch will be considered an added plus.
• You are proactive and do not feel the need to be surrounded by a large team to advance in your tasks. You are also eager to acquire new skills in time, and to have a much more varied role than purely accounting.
• You have a dynamic personality and are well organized, making it ideal for you to be a key member in this small team.
  
  

Offer | Fiduciary – PFS – Luxembourg – Accountant - Accounting

• You will benefit from a salary up to 85 000€ gross per year, and from a discretionary bonus that can be very important (more than 20%) based on your added value.
• You will be given a lot of liberty, in the sense that it goes both ways for this firm : They allow you to organize your day as you so please, starting at 7 AM or until 11 AM even, leaving even as early as 3 PM if necessary ; However, they do wish to hire someone that would make himself or herself available after classic working hours in case there are urgent matters.
• Leave the sometimes-stressful service provider sphere and enjoy this ideal opportunity in-house, allowing you to still continue to learn, while saying goodbye to timesheets and unsatisfied clients.
• In addition to this flexibility, you will be given the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week (as a Luxembourgish resident) or 34 days per year as a cross-border worker.  
• The 360° degree view in your role will allow you to do other things outside of accounting, and to never feel bored in your role. You will also participate much more actively to the day-to-day operations of the Luxembourgish entity.
