Loan Officer M/F – Interim

For one of our clients, a leading organisation within the financial sector in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for an experienced Loan Officer to join its team on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will support the management of lending operations throughout the full loan lifecycle, covering loan administration, transaction processing, monitoring, controls and reporting.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage loan transactions and support the administration of the loan portfolio
• Perform loan bookings and process interest and fee invoicing
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of internal lending databases
• Support internal and external reporting
• Monitor loan events, including amendments and waivers
• Follow up on contractual terms, obligations and rights related to lending operations
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of lending processes and internal controls
• Depending on experience, contribute to credit risk monitoring and crisis preparedness activities

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in lending transactions, loan operations or loan administration, OR at least 5 years of experience in a banking or financial Middle Office environment
• Good understanding of loan documentation, lending products and operational loan terms
• Experience in loan portfolio administration, control and monitoring
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Good command of Excel and experience working with financial data
• Knowledge of credit risk monitoring and financial modelling would be an asset
• Knowledge of Power BI/DAX or Python would be considered an advantage
• Previous experience within an international financial environment would be an asset
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are advantageous
