YOUR ROLE
You will be responsible for overseeing the testing phase within a software development project. This role ensures that software quality standards are met and that any issues are identified and addressed before the product goes live.
- Planning and Strategy: Define the scope, objectives, and approach for testing. Develop a comprehensive test strategy and test plan. Ensure alignment with project timelines, budget, and quality goals;
- Team Coordination and Management: Assign tasks, manage workload, and maintain communication with team members;
- Resource Management: Ensure that testing environments, tools, and resources are available and optimized. Identify and address any gaps in resources or skill sets;
- Test Execution and Monitoring: Oversee test execution, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Track test progress, monitor key metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage), and ensure quality standards are maintained. Prioritize issues and ensure timely resolutions;
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks to testing and the overall project;
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to align testing activities with project goals. Provide regular updates, test summaries, and final reports to stakeholders;
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
YOUR PROFILE
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail), scripting, and test automation, ISTQB certified;
- Leadership: Ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and resolve conflicts;
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to assess test results and identify patterns or issues;
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Attention to Detail: Precision in tracking test metrics, documenting issues, and ensuring thorough test coverage;
- Fluency in French and a good command in English are required.
