Mission

For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a :

Finance Directorate - Back Office Analyst



: University degree preferably in a business related field Economics, Finance, Accounting, Sciences, Law, etc.

Additional relevant postgraduate studies or professional qualification in finance is considered as an advantage The person should preferably have banking and financial services’ industry knowledge, IT competencies, analytical skills, appetite to stay abreast of market developments and regulatory changes, project management skills, ability to meet deadlines, knowledge of best banking practices.

At least 3 years of experience in a financial services / banking environment.



The tasks/activities will include:

•             Prepare, analyse, and distribute financial reports to stakeholders;

•             Manage payment messages of several types in both MT and MX formats;

•             Process fees and claims;

•             Propose and implement solutions to further improve the claim management;

•             Manage intraday positions on cash accounts and support with the resolution of potential liquidity gaps;

•             Support with the daily reconciliation tasks on cash and securities balances and movements, and monitor and resolve relative discrepancies.

•             Define and improve procedures and operations as required;

•             Guide and support with the resolution of issues in coordination and collaboration with all stakeholders;

Profil

The interim must demonstrate knowledge in:

•             Back-office operations, preferably in cash management and/or payment function and/or reconciliation;

•             Broad knowledge of the financial sector in general and good Treasury product and settlement knowledge

•             In-depth knowledge of frequently used SWIFT message types

•             Experience with the Back Office applications (like Finance Kit, Accurate, SWIFT Alliance) is an asset.

•             Good knowledge of the Bank borrowing and lending operations is an advantage.

•             Good and up-to-date knowledge of the relevant best banking practices, especially supervisory and regulatory documents on liquidity risk measurement, standards and monitoring.



The interim must demonstrate competence in:

•             Good communication and drafting skills

•             Flexibility in adapting to different tasks and situation.

•             Ability to work under pressure;

•             Interpersonal, team-working and communication skills



This is an opportunity for an initial contract of 2 months, with possible extensions afterwards

Salary ranges between 5500€ and 7000€ gross per month, depending on experience.
