We are currently looking for a:
Economist - Chief Economist Department (Temporary/Interim)
We are seeking an economist to provide temporary support within our Chief Economist Department. The chosen candidate will be tasked with monitoring and evaluating macroeconomic and financial trends and risks across euro area countries, utilizing analytical tools for macro-financial risk assessment. This role reports directly to the Head of Economic and Market Analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze macroeconomic and financial market trends within euro area member states and the euro area as a whole.
- Produce reports and briefs contributing to the comprehensive monitoring and analysis of economic and financial dynamics in member countries and the euro area.
- Assist in preparing briefings for Senior Management.
- Develop and utilize analytical tools to gain insights into economic and financial trends and risks within euro area countries and the euro area.
- Contribute to policy development and the translation of analytical findings into actionable strategies.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across divisions and departments, leveraging synergies between economics, finance, and market intelligence.
Required Background & Experience:
- Master's degree, preferably in economics, finance, or econometrics. A PhD would be advantageous.
- Strong grasp of macroeconomics, including quantitative and econometric skills.
- Fluency in English, with exceptional written communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT.
- Experience in an international organization is considered a plus.
