Your mission :
As a Presales Engineer, you will support our Sales organization by:
Preparing, presenting, and positioning our telecom solutions especially enterprise connectivity, fiber‑based internet access, and wide‑area networking services.
Providing clear and accurate responses to commercial and technical customer inquiries.
Assisting account managers and business developers in the preparation of bids, RFP responses, and complex solution proposals.
General Responsibilities
Prepare quotations, proposals, solution descriptions, and statements of work for fixed and mobile telecommunications services, including enterprise connectivity, IP networking and managed solutions.
Analyse customer requirements and assess existing infrastructures, covering mobile services, fixed access, WAN architecture, and network performance.
Identify opportunities and contribute to the design of technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
Recommend standardized service packages or design tailored architectures when required.
Build P&L views to ensure all solutions meet internal profitability expectations.
Develop or improve internal tools to streamline presales activities and enhance operational efficiency.
Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain strong knowledge of product evolution and emerging technologies.
Extended Technical Scope
You will also be responsible for presales activities related to advanced transmission and connectivity technologies, including:
- Fiber-optic connectivity solutions, including DWDM, CWDM, and optical transport architectures (OTN).
- Enterprise WAN services such as MPLS, SD‑WAN, IP VPN, Ethernet VPN, and hybrid WAN designs.
- High-availability access architectures, including redundant routing, dual‑homing, SLA‑driven designs, and business continuity strategies.
- Cloud connectivity solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP), remote access technologies, and managed network security concepts.
- High-level assessments of customer networks covering capacity, latency, routing, quality of service, and resilience.
Additional Responsibilities
Design and validate enterprise network architectures using fiber, optical transport, MPLS, and SD‑WAN technologies.
Translate complex technical architectures into clear, customer‑focused commercial proposals and presentations.
Support technical workshops, deep‑dive sessions, and architecture reviews with customers.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate feasibility, capacity planning, and deployment constraints.
Monitor technological trends to enhance solution relevance and strengthen competitive positioning.
Your profile :
- Academic background in business, engineering, economics, commercial sciences, management, or marketing.
- Sound understanding of the telecom and enterprise network market.
- Experience in presales engineering; experience selling telecom or ICT solutions is an advantage. Motivated recent graduates are welcome.
- Ability to design architectural diagrams, high‑level network topologies, and project plans.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow‑up capabilities.
- Creativity, entrepreneurship, and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Customer‑centric approach with strong influencing skills.
- Strong team spirit combined with accountability and ownership.
- Ability to interact confidently with senior business stakeholders and technical experts.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English; Luxembourgish or German are an asset.
