My client, an investment fund management company, is looking for a lawyer with experience in investment fund law.
The responsibilities :
- Structuring and management of investment funds: Ensure the legal structuring of alternative investment funds (AIF) and UCITS, including the drafting and negotiation of fund documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guaranteeing compliance with AIFMD and UCITS regulations, ensuring that funds comply with local and European requirements.
- Transaction Management: Advising on and overseeing fund transactions such as fund raisings, asset acquisitions and disposals.
- Operational Legal Support: Providing ongoing legal support to the asset management teams, including the resolution of governance and risk management issues.
- Legal Watch: Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the funds' activities and proposing any necessary adjustments.
Your profile :
- Law degree, specialising in business or financial law. An additional qualification in fund law is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a lawyer in the investment fund sector, ideally in Luxembourg.
- Excellent knowledge of AIFMD and UCITS regulations, as well as best practices in fund governance.
- Fluency in English and/or French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, excellent organisational skills and strong communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
