A new opportunity has arisen for an internship within the Portfolio Management team in our Luxembourg office. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain and strengthen experience in portfolio management and be exposed to numerous investment mandates and projects from Real Estate, Private Debt, Private Equity and Infrastructure asset classes. The successful candidate will join the Portfolio Management team to assist with the assessment and execution of the transactions along with the monitoring of existing portfolio assets. This role may also require helping with the coordination and supervision of independent investment advisors.

The successful candidate will support the team in dealing with multiple liquid and illiquid funds and will actively participate to the development of Portfolio Management process and technical changes to applications used by FundSight S.A., in partnership with IT, Compliance, Risk and Valuation teams.
1.    Key Responsibilities
Â
- Support the Portfolio Management team in the monitoring and administration of illiquid alternative investment funds (AIFs), ensuring alignment with investment strategies, fund documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the analysis of investment opportunities across private equity, private debt, infrastructure, venture capital, and real estate strategies through financial, market, and industry research.
- Contribute to portfolio monitoring activities, including performance analysis, liquidity tracking, portfolio valuation reviews, and risk reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of portfolio reports, investment memoranda, and ad hoc analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the monitoring of fund cash flows, including capital calls, distributions, commitment schedules, and capital account statements.
- Assist in maintaining regulatory and governance documentation, helping ensure compliance with AIFMD, SFDR, CSSF requirements, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Risk Management, Compliance, Operations, Legal, and Fund Administration, to support portfolio oversight and reporting activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of Investment Committees and portfolio review meetings by gathering information, performing analyses, preparing supporting materials, and documenting key decisions.
- Participate in market research, peer analysis, and industry monitoring to support investment and portfolio management activities.
- Develop an understanding of alternative investment fund structures, portfolio construction, fund operations, and regulatory frameworks through hands-on exposure to day-to-day portfolio management activities.

2.   Profile
Â
- Bachelor and above in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field – and ideally a path towards acquiring CFA/FRM.
- Familiarity with financial accounting, corporate finance and business reporting
- Sound business judgment and an analytical, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Highly disciplined, self-starter, ability to execute on assignments independently
- Quantitative skills and familiarity with programming languages (Python, R, VBA) are a plus.
- Interpersonal skills to enable relationship building with colleagues, clients and advisors.

- Languages & Communication: English is mandatory (French or German would be considered as an asset).
