SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER (M/F)
DO Recruitment is delighted to assist this prestigious asset manager in the recruitment of a Compliance Officer who will report to the Head of Compliance based in Luxembourg. This role will primarily focus on Financial Crime Compliance in Luxembourg and (UK).
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial crime regulations, including AML, CFT, sanctions, and anti-bribery laws, with specific expertise in Luxembourg and UK regulatory landscapes.
- Provide expert advisory to the business on compliance risks and obligations, ensuring alignment with CSSF (Luxembourg) and FCA (UK) expectations.
- Monitor regulatory developments, ensuring policies and procedures reflect current and
- upcoming requirements in both jurisdictions.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and testing to ensure the effectiveness of Financial Crime.
- Compliance (FCC) controls, providing recommendations for enhancements where needed.
- Assist in preparing compliance reports for senior management, risk committees, boards, and regulators.
- Assist in support regulatory inspections, audits, and due diligence processes.
- Conduct screening of clients, counterparties, and transactions using tools such as World-Check
- Provide sign off for new private market investments, institutional client relationships as well as sub-distribution due diligence reviews.
- Assist in maintaining and optimise screening configurations to reduce false positives while ensuring effective risk coverage.
- Assist in performing periodic quality assurance reviews of screening processes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance outcomes.
PROFILE:
- 4-5 years of experience in a compliance role in a management company,
- A keen interest in financial services and Financial Crime Compliance,
- A good understanding of both the Luxembourg and UK investment funds world,
- Experience in Financial Crime Compliance (asset manager experience seen as a positive
- advantage),
- A baseline understanding of OEIC and UCITS funds (incl. the underlying regulations that impact
- them),
- Excellent command of the English language (German, French and Dutch considered a
- positive advantage),
- The ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships,
- A strong belief in doing the right thing,
- Ability to recognise and embrace change,
- Ability to analyse, interpret and assimilate information.
