Deloitte’s Internal Audit team plays a critical role in enhancing the risk management framework and ensuring the effectiveness of the firm’s internal controls. It is responsible for conducting comprehensive audit engagements and providing strategic recommendations to improve processes and mitigate risks and ensure a solid dialogue with Governance bodies of the organization.

Deloitte’s Internal Audit team plays a critical role in enhancing the risk management framework and ensuring the effectiveness of the firm’s internal controls. It is responsible for conducting comprehensive audit engagements and providing strategic recommendations to improve processes and mitigate risks and ensure a solid dialogue with Governance bodies of the organization.
Your next challenge
- Develop the audit universe to define the auditable entities and represent potential audit activities to be carried out by the internal audit function.
- Maintain a risk assessment methodology to evaluate the risk of each auditable entity within the internal audit universe, determining the priority and timing of related internal audit engagements.
- Develop and maintain the multi-year internal audit plan that outlines the objectives, scope, and approach for conducting internal audits within the firm in accordance with the results of the risk assessment exercise.
- Lead and manage internal audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Monitor compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Obtain, analyse and appraise evidentiary data in order to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify internal control gaps and deficiencies, as well as opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and operational efficiency improvement.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring and tracking of progress on recommended actions identified during audits and assess the status of their implementation.
- Prepare and present to the Governance Bodies of the firm comprehensive reports on internal audit activities, including progress on the internal audit plan, results of audit engagements and the status of recommendations follow-up.
- Engage with key stakeholders of the firm to ensure adequate understanding and coverage of inherent risks specific to the Organization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in internal audit.
- Apply the internal audit standards in the performance of the internal audit activities.

Your skills
- University degree in business administration, accounting, finance or from a business school; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other relevant certification, considered as an asset.
- At least 6 to 8 years of experience in internal audit.
- Proven creativity with the ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
- Strong analytical, reasoning and logical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge in internal audit standards and practices, risk management and internal control frameworks.
- Fluent in French and English, coupled with advanced writing skills in both languages. Other languages would be considered an asset
