Project Manager (H/F)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT and digital transformation projects from initiation through delivery.

You will be responsible for defining project scope, planning activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing risks and dependencies, controlling budgets and timelines, and ensuring successful delivery in line with business objectives.

You will act as a central point of coordination between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, delivery and closure.
• Define and maintain project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones and success criteria.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules and roadmaps.
• Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against agreed scope, timeline, budget and quality objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and constraints.
• Establish appropriate project governance and reporting mechanisms.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards and steering committee updates.
• Organise and facilitate project meetings, workshops and governance forums.
• Manage changes to project scope through structured change-control processes.
• Ensure effective communication between business, technical and management stakeholders.
• Manage project resources and coordinate activities across multiple teams.
• Track project budgets, costs and forecasts.
• Manage third-party suppliers and vendors when applicable.
• Escalate critical risks, issues and decisions appropriately.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project transition into production and operational teams.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of project-management practices.

Required Skills

• Strong professional experience in IT Project Management.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Excellent planning, organisation and coordination capabilities.
• Strong experience with risk, issue and dependency management.
• Experience managing project budgets, resources and delivery timelines.
• Strong knowledge of project governance and reporting.
• Experience with project-management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid approaches.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience working with technical teams such as software development, infrastructure, cloud, security or data teams.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, including communication with senior management.
• Experience coordinating external suppliers or service providers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with project-management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps or similar solutions.

Nice to Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum or SAFe certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting/dashboard solutions.
• Experience working in cloud transformation, application modernisation, infrastructure, cybersecurity or data-related projects.
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT service-management principles.
• Experience in regulated, financial, governmental or European institutional environments.
• Experience managing international or distributed teams.
• Experience with procurement, contracts and vendor management.

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically 7+ years of professional experience in project delivery, including significant experience managing IT projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
