Technical Expert – Regulatory Reporting (WKFS)
The Role
To support our client activities in the banking and financial sector, we are seeking a Technical Expert – Regulatory Reporting (WKFS).
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining regulatory reporting solutions powered by Wolters Kluwer Financial Services (WKFS) software. Operating within a fast-paced Agile environment, you will work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Architects, and Production teams to deliver high-quality, fully compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
 Solution Delivery & Maintenance:Â
- Implement and maintain regulatory reporting solutions based on WKFS technology and tailored enhancements.
- Backend Development: Develop robust backend features using Java and Oracle SQL across Windows and Linux environments.
- Architecture & Design: Collaborate with Technical Architects to design solid, scalable solution architectures.
- Functional Alignment: Work with Business Analysts to translate functional regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Execute testing, automate QA processes, and ensure full production readiness.
- Deployment & Support: Participate in release deployment activities and provide Level 3 production support post-go-live.
- DevOps & Performance: Drive DevOps workflows using GitLab and continuously optimize the performance of Java and SQL components.
- Continuous Improvement: Take full ownership of deliverables, promote best engineering practices, and contribute actively to Agile team ceremonies.
Essential Experience & Technical Skills
- WKFS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services regulatory reporting solutions.
- Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in Java and Oracle SQL.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Solid, hands-on experience with AKS / Kubernetes.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Proficiency with DevOps tools and workflows, specifically GitLab.
- Quality & Performance: Proven experience in test automation and performance tuning for Java and SQL applications.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Functional knowledge of banking products and financial instruments.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
