BUSINESS ANALYST COO STRATEGIC EXECTUTION TEAM
The team
The COO Strategic Execution Team is dedicated to delivering change projects across the COO organisation. Most projects involve material transformation of the operating model across multiple locations, whether implementing new technology, improving processes or changing the organisation design.
The role
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Support the confirmation / build out of the Operating Model following a Top Down Approach
- Level 1 : high level view of the processes and gap analysis
- Level 2 : Create a summary diagram for each process highlighting which teams are involved, and which manual activities are performed
- Level 3 Swim lane process flows for high priority manual processes and high volume exceptions
- Level 4 : Create detailed procedural documents for all key business processes
Work closely with the Operational Readiness team to ensure the Operating Model is understood across all NT locations
Business analysis and gathering and documenting requirements
As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
Risk and issue identification and escalation to the programme
Build strong working relationships with own work stream team, programme resources and the client
Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas
Partner with Programme Management to ensure all aspects of Operating Model are tracked and risks mitigated and escalated where required
Management of business readiness risk , ensuring effective definition, documentation, escalation and mitigation of risks pertaining to business readiness for key transformation activity
Represent Operating Model in required client forums ensuring that there is continued linkage between the client and business units
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience
Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including operating models, systems landscape, and end-to-end process and data flows.
Proven experience supporting complex transformation initiatives across process, technology, and organisational change in global environments.
Ability to assess current state operations, identify gaps, and design scalable target operating models aligned to strategic objectives.
Business Analysis and Technical Capability
Advanced analytical capability with a structured approach to problem solving, translating business requirements into actionable deliverables.
Strong data analysis skills to support decision-making, quantify impacts, and validate outcomes.
Solid understanding of system architecture, interfaces, and integration concepts.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across programme teams, business units, and clients.
Confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong facilitation and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Risk, Governance and Control
Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with appropriate escalation.
Strong awareness of governance frameworks and regulatory considerations.
Experience supporting business readiness and risk mitigation planning.
