Our client, a prestigious international law firm consistently ranked among the top global legal providers, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join its market-leading Banking & Finance practice in Luxembourg.
This is a unique opportunity to advise a diverse and sophisticated client base, including major financial institutions, investment funds, and multinational corporations, particularly those operating in the German-speaking market.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex cross-border banking and finance transactions, including:
- Acquisition and leveraged finance.
- Debt capital markets and bond issues.
- Securitization and structured finance.
- Real estate finance and general lending.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, legal opinions, and regulatory filings.
- Provide strategic legal advice on Luxembourg regulatory matters concerning credit institutions, PSFs (Professionnels du Secteur Financier), and financial services.
- Mentor junior associates and contribute actively to business development initiatives targeting the German market.
- Maintain and develop strong professional relationships with clients and other legal and financial advisors.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
- You possess 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance, gained within a top-tier law firm in Luxembourg or a comparable common/civil law jurisdiction.
- You hold a Master's degree in Law (or equivalent) from a reputable university.
- Essential: You are fluent in English and German (written and spoken) to advise clients effectively. Proficiency in French is a significant asset.
- You have a thorough understanding of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory environment for financial transactions.
- You are a highly organized self-starter with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently while excelling within a team environment.
- Admission to the Luxembourg Bar (or having passed the CCDL/equivalent) is highly advantageous.
