The experts at AIS and AManco provide clients with: Corporate Services, Fund Administration Services, Governance Services, Operational AML & Compliance Services, Tax Compliance Services, Depositary Services, as well as Third Party AIFM Services (provided by AManco S.A.).

Given the ongoing development of AIS, we are currently recruiting:

Junior Officer - Fund Accounting (Porto Office)

Our Fund Administration team provides high quality services to regulated and unregulated alternative investment vehicles across all asset classes.

Your role:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements with Disclosures and other ad-hoc service requests from clients;

  • Bookkeeping, including timely and accurate recording of transactions of private equity and other investment type structures;

  • Ensure adequate and timely responses to clients’ requests;

  • Calculation of net asset value of funds on a quarterly/semi-annual and annual basis in line with the required accounting standards;

  • Assist in the preparation/review of financial statements for audit purposes;

  • Communicate and liaise with external parties such as Investment Managers, auditors, banks or regulatory bodies;

  • Understanding complex fund structures and accounting treatment of the related transactions;

  • Performs self-review of core processes to demonstrate self-awareness of the funds reporting cycle from interpreting governing documentation to finalization of financial statements;

  • Assist with onboarding of new entities in the accounting platform;

  • Calculation of tax/VAT reporting;

  • Preparation of required reporting (client, BCL, CSSF).


Your profile:

  • You have between 1 and 3 years of experience or a new graduate in accounting;

  • You hold an accounting, business or mathematical university degree with solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles;

  • You have basic knowledge of bookkeeping, and accounting standards and principles  (LUXGAAP /IFRS /USGAAP);

  • You have command of English (oral and written);

  • You have basic knowledge of word and excel office solution;

  • You are proactive and can communicate professionally via phones, emails or face-to-face;

  • You can work under pressure to achieve the multiple daily deadlines for client deliverables;

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with the Fund Accounting team and other internal Departments and Third Parties;

  • You can listen to instructions, take notes, ask questions and execute accordingly;

  • You have analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • You are a team player and can work independently.
