Our partner is an international yet human-sized law firm specialized in, amongst other domains, Investment fund Law, Corporate Law and Tax Law, and is looking for a key member to to join its Investment fund department as Partner.

With more than 70 employees on an international scale, and a human-sized entity with a boutique approach in Luxembourg, this law firm has developed itself naturally in Luxembourg these past years.

The team of pragmatic legal experts that the firm has attracted is also growing, given the increasing operations. In honor to further develop its investment fund department, which mainly focused on Alternative Investment Funds, the firm is looking for a Partner who will be focused on developing the team in the years to come, to ensure that the firm has excellent competencies in the field internally.  

Your main mission entails the development of the Investment fund practice area locally. You will also engage in the mentoring and coaching of the lawyers under your supervision. The aim is to help the business grow organically while fostering the already-established client relations the firm possesses.

Your Responsibilities | Counsel – Law Firm – Funds – Investment Funds - Legal

• You ensure long-lasting client relationships, as the contact person for clients' requests, you are a key advisor and work on varying legal documentation necessary for the advancement of their business.
• You handle meetings with your clients and potential clients to discuss their needs for support. Thus insuring the firm’s business development in your area of expertise.
• You will focus primarily on Alternative Investment funds and your experience ensures that you provide clients with a high quality service.
• As a key member of the firm and its Investment Fund Law unit, you adopt a mentoring stance and are responsible for the technical improvement and the coaching of new members.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Counsel – Law Firm – Funds – Investment Funds - Legal

• We are currently looking for a profile that has acquired at least 8 years of experience in Luxembourg, more specifically in the investment fund department of a law firm. You currently already hold a position of Managing Associate, Counsel or Partner.  
• You should be able to speak and write English and French fluently.
• You of course obtained a Master degree in Law as well as the CCDL, ideally complemented by other additional certifications.
• You either have one or two members of your current team who would be able to follow you, or you have portable business.
• You demonstrate excellent knowledge of the investment fund industry and are eager to share your acquired competencies with the team.
