Mid-Level Investment Funds Lawyer – Stability, Recognition & Progression

Our client is an international law firm with a strong European presence and a well-established Investment Funds practice in Luxembourg. The local office brings together around 50 lawyers across Corporate M&A, Banking & Finance, Investment Funds, Tax and Commercial Litigation, creating regular opportunities to work on multidisciplinary and cross-border matters.

The Investment Funds team is led by two Partners and works closely with the firm's other European offices. This organization allows lawyers to remain part of a compact Luxembourg team while being involved in international and technically sophisticated matters, with direct access to senior decision-makers and meaningful responsibility on their files.

The practice focuses primarily on Alternative Investment Funds, including Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Debt structures. The firm is now looking to recruit a mid-level lawyer with at least four years of experience in Luxembourg, who is comfortable managing files with autonomy while continuing to strengthen their technical expertise alongside experienced Partners.

Your Responsibilities | Investment Funds – AIF – Private Equity – Real Estate

• Advise local and international clients on the structuring, formation and ongoing operation of Alternative Investment Funds.
• Work on a broad range of AIF strategies, including Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Debt.
• Draft, review and negotiate fund documentation, including constitutional documents, LPAs, prospectuses and related agreements.
• Support clients throughout the full lifecycle of their investment vehicles.
• Advise on governance, regulatory and operational matters affecting Luxembourg funds.
• Participate in cross-border transactions in coordination with colleagues from other European offices and practice groups.
• Maintain direct contact with clients, service providers and Luxembourg authorities.
• Follow legal and regulatory developments impacting the funds industry and contribute to internal know-how and publications.
• Take increasing ownership of your matters and support more junior lawyers when appropriate.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Investment Funds – AIF – Private Equity – Real Estate

• You have at least four years of experience as an Investment Funds Lawyer in Luxembourg.
• You have gained solid exposure to Alternative Investment Funds, ideally across Private Equity, Real Estate and/or Private Debt.
• You are admitted to the Luxembourg Bar or another European Bar.
• You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• You possess strong drafting and analytical skills and are comfortable working on technically demanding matters.
• You can manage files with a good degree of autonomy and communicate directly with clients.
• You are looking for a firm where you can continue developing toward Senior Associate, Counsel and potentially Partner in the longer term.

• A gross annual salary of up to €110,000, depending on your experience and technical expertise, together with a bonus and additional benefits.
