The Bissen plant was established in 1910 and has grown steadily over the years to become one of Europe's leading producers of galvanized steel wire and wire products.
ArcelorMittal Bissen is part of the WireSolutions Business Unit within the Bars & Rods segment of Long Products Europe.
370 people work at ArcelorMittal Bissen to supply more than 1000 different customers in the following 3 market segments:
- Fencing & Agri Business: field fence, welded mesh for residential and security fencing, barbed wire, vineyard wires.
- Fibers to reinforce concrete in infrastructure projects, flooring, tunneling, buildings and for precasted structures.
- Industrial Wire for applications like gabions, cable trays, cable armoring, animal cages, greenhouses.
ArcelorMittal Bissen produces yearly more than 100 kt of galvanized steel wire and wire products in its drawing workshops, on its galvanization lines and its finished product workshops consisting of fencing machines, welding machines, plastification Line and respooling equipment.
The position:
The Purchasing Department is looking for an intern:
- To set up the purchasing contracts for the supply of spare parts in the warehouse.
You will have to :
- Extract item listings by suppliers with consumption of the last 3 years,
- Check with Maintenance/Warehouse the replenishment level for each item & update it,
- Communicate with suppliers and negotiate,
- Update prices and lead times in our ERP.
Launch a call for tenders for tertiary cleaning.
You will have to :
- Create the specifications in collaboration with the different departments,
- Launch the call for tenders,
- Analyze and Negotiation with suppliers.
In addition to these main missions, other tasks will be required:
- Set up a follow-up of the Safety Data Sheets and updating them,
- Set up a follow-up of the Supplier Assessments,
- Update in our ERP the list of machines on site in order to have a good visibility on the maintenance costs,
Profil:
- Bachelor degree oriented Purchasing Management.
- Dynamic, you are an analyst and proactive, and you like working in project mode.
- IT skills (Microsoft Office 365 environment) and in particular the advanced functions of Excel
- French and English, both spoken and written
