About us
The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services.
We play an instrumental role in Europe by fueling innovation through research partnerships with industry, boosting R&D investments leading to economic growth, and attracting highly qualified talent. We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.
The University of Luxembourg is seeking to hire a highly motivated researcher in the area of 6G Radio Access Network stack optimization for emerging Direct-to-Device services and Open RAN NTN for its Interdisciplinary Centre of Security and Trust (SnT), within the Signal Processing and Communications (SigCom) research group, led by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas.
The SigCom group at SnT focuses on wireless/satellite communications and networking. Fields of applications range from 6G telecommunications to satellite-based internet connectivity and quantum internet. The SigCom group works across the entire spectrum of blue-sky research and applied research to conceive future communication networks. Prospective researchers will find a large and vibrant team of over 100 members fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The group consistently publishes in top 10% venues, approaching 200 papers per year, supported by 60 running research projects. Furthermore, our activities are experimentally driven and supported by COMMLab, 6GSPACE Lab, HybridNetLab, QCILab, TelecomAI Lab, CSAT Lab, and our SW Simulators.
