Working in a creative, collaborative environment, the Outreach Communication Officer will contribute actively to innovative projects and campaigns designed to inspire, inform, and connect with the broader community.
Your role
The Outreach Communication Officer plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to engage internal and external audiences, raising awareness and strengthening the reputation of the University of Luxembourg. This position leads outreach communication initiatives, supports the delivery of key engagement campaigns, and actively builds relationships with stakeholders and target groups. The Outreach Communication Officer will collaborate closely with academic and administrative teams to develop compelling messages and coordinate activities that amplify the University's impact in the community, among prospective students, and with institutional partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach communication plans targeted to diverse audiences, including prospective students, schools, industry partners, and the general public
- Create engaging content for various communication channels, e.g., web, social media, newsletters, brochures, that highlights university activities, opportunities, and achievements
- Coordinate and support outreach events, such as information sessions, open days, school visits, and community engagement activities
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries from external stakeholders, ensuring timely information and effective relationship management
- Advise and support faculties and departments with tailored outreach and communication initiatives for specific projects or events
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of outreach activities, using feedback and data to propose improvements
- Ensure all communication materials adhere to the University's brand and messaging guidelines
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to align outreach activities with overall strategic communication objectives

Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related filed
- Experience in outreach, communication, or public relations-preferably within higher education, scientific, or non-profit sectors
- Strong skills in content creation, copywriting, and digital communication across various platforms is an asset
- Proven ability to develop and implement communication plans tailored to diverse audiences
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Analytical skills for monitoring impact and reporting results
- Proficiency with communication tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, occasionally outside standard hours for event support
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of German or Luxembourgish will be considered as an asset
